Get help with Card Master
Recognition needs correction
Compare each field with the original image. Keep the card flat, in focus, and free of glare. Fonts and layouts can affect recognition accuracy.
A private card will not unlock
Make sure the iPhone has a device passcode. Anyone who knows that passcode may be able to unlock private cards. Removing the passcode or moving to a new device may invalidate the original key. Use an encrypted backup and recovery code to recover your data.
Backup and recovery
Create an encrypted backup in Settings, then store its recovery code separately. Recovery verifies the backup and creates a new card library while retaining the old database. It includes only data present when the backup was made. Support cannot decrypt data without both the backup and recovery code.
Permanent ad removal
Use the non-consumable “Remove Ads Permanently” purchase in Settings. To restore it, use the same Apple Account and tap Restore Purchases. Restoring a purchase restores the entitlement, not your cards. Purchases require a network connection, and refunds or revocations update the entitlement through Apple.
Exports and system sync
Exported VCF or CSV files and records added to Contacts or Calendar are no longer protected by the app’s private-card lock. Recipient apps and system accounts may sync them to cloud services. Direct contact import omits notes; VCF export retains them.
Report a problem or ad
Use the ad’s information or AdChoices control to report an inappropriate ad, or email mkjohnny@gmail.com. Include the app version, iOS version, and steps to reproduce. Redact personal data from screenshots, and do not send complete cards, customer information, recovery codes, payment details, or device passcodes.
